In a collab that nobody asked for or even know what to do with, apparently conflicted “Arsenal fan” Jay Z and Ashley Cole are opening a restaurant together. The two were brought together by NVA Entertainment who presumably told Jay Z a lot of things about Ashley that could be classified as “fibs” and hid all the local newspapers from the last 5 years.
When we first got wind of the rapper/entrepreneur/clothier/husband-to-Beyonce teaming up with the footballer/adulterer/sex-vomiter/rifle-assaulter/divorcee possibly teaming up it was suspected Ashley wanted to become a rapper. Compared to that awful idea, opening a restaurant sounds pretty good.
It’s actually a pretty respectable project, much like Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen the idea is to provide training and jobs to those who struggle to do so on their own.
“I don’t do things to try and get publicity or anything like that,” he said.
“It was a great way for me to be working with people like Jay-Z and with great entrepreneurs who are going to try and make this restaurant a success.”
The pair were brought together by NVA Entertainment, a sports agency which counts Rio Ferdinand among its clients.
“I’ve always loved Jay-Z’s music and loved what he’s done,” Cole said.
“I know how hard it is to get a job because my mum had chances to get a job and never got them so hopefully I can give something back and this is a great way of doing it.”
There haven’t been any quotes from Jay Z, possibly because he thought everyone was joking when he agreed to it.
