Nike’s latest baselayer collection was unveiled today under the moniker “Hypercool 2.0.” A series of athletes across several major sports helped present the line, which boasts the ability to simultaneously keep players comfortable dry and comfortable regardless of ambient temperatures.
Nike’s major soccer athletes such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Wesley Snejder and Wayne Rooney are notably absent as Neymar and Evra make appearances in their place. However, the absentees aren’t necessarily worse off as Neymar and Evra appear in comedic surreal sequences where evaporating sweat could very well be construed as “speed lines.”
Despite Neymar being rarely seen seen on the international stage due to his commitment to Santos, one can only imagine how big he’ll get if/when he makes the jump to Europe. The Hypercool Fitted Short Sleeve Top 2.0 and Nike Pro Combat Hypercool Comp 6-Inch Short 2.0 both release starting January 1, 2012.
