This is a bit facile from a soccer standpoint, but it’s hard to hate on CNN for producing soccer content. While the racial makeup of the German-American contingent on the USMNT is obviously notable, I can’t help but wonder if CNN is painting with a very broad brush by implying that all of them (Danny Williams, Jermaine Jones, Fabian Johnson, Terrence Boyd, and the wishy-washy Timmy Chandler) are playing for the US because of race. For one thing, not one of them would get in the German team right now. That seems like it’s probably a bigger factor.

As always, be sure to avoid the comments at all and any costs (up to and including stabbing your eyes out with a highlighter cap lest they inadvertantly scan down the page to what the unwashed YouTubian masses are hatefully saying).
