In his team’s game against the Seattle Sounders, Houston Dynamo midfielder Colin Clark tossed two different not-very-nice f-words in the direction of a ball boy. This is wholly unacceptable on two levels: that kind of language is just wrong towards anyone, but to direct it towards a kid just sends it to another level of dickishness. We would like to remind MLS that when this happened in the NBA, Kobe Bryant was fined $100,000.
Clark later apologized for the outburst on twitter:
I’d like to offer a sincere apology to everyone who watched the game, especially the ball boy for whom I used awful language towards.

The league meanwhile, is investigating the incident.
Our friends over at gay4soccer.com are naturally keeping a very close eye on the situation and a characteristically level head.
